Liz has always been a teacher of one form or another. She leads by instinct and cares about witnessing other people through all of their emotional moments- whether they’re experiencing joy or sadness. She first discovered how this applied to yoga through her 18 years practicing 26 & 2 hot yoga and has now been teaching this method for over 16 years. Every time she stood on her mat, it became evident to her that this was her calling and her passion for helping her students flourished as her own personal life challenges increased. She knew she had to open a yoga school, a place where everyone is a student and everyone holds each other accountable through honesty and by prioritizing growth above all else.
While she was still a new teacher, Liz realized the power of shedding layers, vulnerability and authentically teaching through the tools of conscious language. It became clear to her that she possessed a natural ability to not only teach yoga, but to help mentor other teachers through self awareness. Her commitment has been to working with teachers, helping them develop and be more empowered through secondary education and labs for years. She’s repeatedly witnessed the incredible physical and emotional benefits, both on and off the mat, and believes in the therapy and longevity of this thousands-of-years-old hatha practice. She’s very passionate about mental health issues and how this practice combats depression, PTSD, anxiety and hormonal imbalances in a profound way, eliminating any need for medication. She finds that teachers and students alike can create deeper human connections, heal emotional trauma and be inspired to change and evolve through higher education and the power of knowledge.
